The climate emergency must be recognized as an emergency. As the globe is heating up, the seas are rising, and the storms are storming. A 2018 report conducted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) found that the effects of climate change will devastate the world. In Australia, desertification will devastate the country.

We demand that the Australian government declare a climate emergency because the climate emergency is an emergency. Recognizing the problem would be an enormous first step in acting on climate change. That is why we are petitioning the government of Australian to declare climate change a national emergency.
