Production of discontinued shoes
Production of discontinued shoes
Why this petition matters
In 2008, a specific pair of leather dress shoes were featured in the Superhero hit film, “The Dark Knight”. The main antagonist, Joker, played by Heath Ledger, wore the aforementioned shoes as part of his attire. For many years, a very large group of dedicated cosplayers and fans of the film spent countless hours trying to locate the original maker of the shoes, until finally, we located them. The “Clown 0911” shoes were made by the made by Italian manufacturer Marsell. This particular model shoe has long since been discontinued. And despite our pleas to Marsell, they’ve remained discounted. Per Marsell representatives, “putting this model into production would elevate the retail price by a lot since it is an old style and they would have to trace down all the original components.” All involved with the signing of this petition hope that Marsell will finally hear our hopeful requests to put these model shoes back into production, despite the difficulties involved in doing so.
