Kwa muda sasa, watumiaji wa Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania wamelazimika kuvumilia kulipishwa nauli kubwa zaidi ya matarajio/ilivyotangazwa kabla ya kuanza safari. Kwa wenye tabia ya kusoma risiti za kielektroniki za mfumo huo, malipo haya ambayo huwa mara mbili au zaidi huendana na madai ya kuwa wamesafiri umbali mrefu pasina uhalisia. Baadhi ya watumiaji wametoa malalamiko yao kwa njia rasmi za Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania, licha ya ufinyu wa njia hizo za kufanya hivyo. Hapo nyuma, Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania imekuwa na utaratibu wa kuwarudishia pesa zao wateja waliolipa nauli kubwa kuliko uhalisia, hadi hivi karibuni ambapo kampuni hii imeonelea ni sawa kuacha kuwajibika kwa ukosefu wa uaminifu wa madereva au mapungufu wa mfumo wao. Kwa kuzingatia kwamba kuna uwezekano wa kuwepo kwa idadi kubwa ya watumiaji wa huduma hii wasiojua njia zinazopatikana za kuripoti matukio haya, tatizo hili ni kubwa kuliko linavyoripotiwa. Matokeo yake, watumiaji wa huduma hiyo wanaendelea kulipishwa nauli kubwa na Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania, na kampuni hiyo haijafanya jitihada za kutosha kuwalinda dhidi ya haya kwa kurekebisha mfumo wao na kuadhibu madereva wasio waaminifu.


Nikiwa muathirika wa mchezo huu mara kadhaa ambazo nimeripoti kwa Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania na kujibiwa kwamba nauli kubwa hizi zilitokana na "Maswala ya kiufundi ya simu ya dereva au mfumo wa GPS", ninatoa wito kwa watumiaji wengine wa huduma hii waliokumbana na matatizo haya tuungane kuitaka Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania wahakikishe wanamaliza mchezo wa ulaghai ambao unawezeshwa na mfumo wao.

For months now, Bolt (Taxify) riders have had to put up with being overcharged fares above expected/advertised at the point of ordering for the service. For those savvy enough to read the electronic receipts, these often doubled or more charges are accounted for by ridiculously impractical distance traveled. Some riders have formally filed complaints to Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania, despite the limited channels available to them to do this. In the past, Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania has remedied these experiences by way of refunds, until recently when it has become apparent the company deemed it wiser to not assume responsibility for its drivers/platform. Predictably, a substantial number of users of the service are unaware of/unable to use the available support channels to report incidents. As a result, innocent users of the service continue to be unfairly overcharged by Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania, with the company not doing enough to protect them against this by fixing its platform and actively weeding out dishonest drivers.


Being a victim of this extortion on multiple occasions, all of which I have reported to Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania and was invariably informed that the unreasonably high fare was due to "GPS/Driver Device Issues", I petition other users of the service who have had similar experiences to demand that Bolt (Taxify) Tanzania puts an end to the fraudulent business practices it enables (if not complicit to) and that it now refuses to remedy.
