September is Histiocytosis Awareness Month! Every September, the Histio Community joins together to raise awareness for histiocytosis. We need your help! Together, we can educate people around the world about histiocytosis. *Histiocytosis, also referred to as Histiocytic disorders, is a group of diseases that occur when there is an over-production of white blood cells known as histiocytes that can lead to organ damage and tumor formation. This group is made up of a wide variety of conditions that can affect both children and adults. The Histiocytosis Association is dedicated to raising awareness about histiocytic disorders, providing educational and emotional support, and funding research leading to better treatments and a cure.
