Stop the traffic madness at Grand & Clinton Streets!
Stop the traffic madness at Grand & Clinton Streets!
Why this petition matters
The years-long-standing and dangerous traffic congestion in our Lower East Side community along Grand and Clinton Streets, caused by the re-routing into our neighborhood of the vehicular traffic headed to the Williamsburg Bridge, has been a threat to the very health and quality of life of local residents. Seeking a remedy, for years the community has been raising these concerns to the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) to no avail. Our concerns have fallen on deaf ears, getting only false promises and indifference.
We, the undersigned, call on the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) to finally, seriously and comprehensively address this concern of our Lower East Side community and to present to the community an actual plan of action to rectify these conditions.
