Due to the unexpected events this year, as well as school closures. we understand that year 13 and year 11 are having a hard time. but also year 12s are being disadvantaged, this is because they will not be able to attend open days. year 12 UCAS application as well as Personal Statements will be disrupted by school closures, and not being able to do mocks, in order to get a predicted grade next year which will be sent to Universities. also by the loss of 4 month support from teacher and many school resources, year 12 will not be able, to get their education back, which will impact them badly, not just performance in exams, but their mental wellbeing will also be impacted. understanding that many AS students where meant to also take exams this year which go towards their qualification. will not be able to sit them resulting in Universities looking at that too. year 12s are already stressing so much, It is also predicted that the Coronavirus will be here a long time, till next year give or take till summer. that's why this petition should try to make Department for Education more aware. with what can be done for next year.
