Why this petition matters

Started by Eric Green

In 2003, 4Kids Entertainment partnered with Mirage Studios to create an animated adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that was close in spirit to the comics it was adapted from. In this, with the help of comic co-creator Peter Laird, they succeeded. The series had the dark tones and mature writing of the comics but presented it in a way that was suitable for all ages and pleased critics as well as long time fans of the franchise. Despite this, the home media releases for this show have been lacking. For a while, every few months a 3-5 episode DVD would be released, collecting the episodes in chronological order, but over time the chronology began to get jumbled and eventually whole episodes were left out of releases. Several "half season" collections were released after that but only up to season 2 (out of SEVEN). In 2009, the TMNT franchise was purchased by Viacom. After years of supporting the franchise, fans deserve a complete collection of the series and 11 years after the end of the series, we still don't have it. Let's get this release out and stuffed with special features.
