Wedding insurance companies are not all paying out to cover the Corona virus which is having a massive impact on the hospitality industry and the self employed people that work within the wedding/event industry. Brides and grooms and venues are being forced under the advised guidelines to cancel weddings yet no compensation is being offered. 

Some insurances are just covering ( if at all)  that If any of the parties were to catch the virus they would be covered , however they are not covering the fact that people are not allowed to socialise in large groups causing thousands of cancellations around the UK inpacting thousands and thousands of people . 

Offering alternative dates for weddings does not recuperate costs to the suppliers in this situation as they have lost the money for the current year. 

If insurances were to cover the cost of the cancellations it would bring thousands of businesses to be financially secured for the future months and years ahead.
