  • Recently I bought a mobilephone from the manufacturer OnePlus from the online store Reliancedigital.in , i have been saving up money to buy this specific phone "Oneplus8PRO" (55inr)(750usd) and after so many months of promised yet postponed sale dates after a month i got ahold of the phone from reliancedigital.in , but the phone i got was damaged as in it had so many display problems which is an obvious manufacturing defect. So after a week of purchase when the issue became more and more prominent i decided to return the phone or replace the phone as per reliancedigital policy. So i called the reliance customer support and told my issue and they asked me to get a DeadOnArrival certificate from the manufacturer. So after a long 1 hour wait call i was connected to the oneplus customer support and i i showed them proof of my obvious display problems but they denied to give me a DOA certificate and told me to go to the nearest service center which is 210kms away from my place especially when traveling has been banned due to the pandemic. Then i found that a lot of people are facing the same issue and even though some went to the service center and some heated conversations, all they got was a replacement with the same issue after a long wait of 20days. And the cycle keeps happening. Negligence of the oneplus company towards their customers and failure to recall or refund people having this widespread issue is a hit for the consumers. Please support me in this cause as to recall all affected devices as some better companies does and to show that comsumers are not to be taken granted for. We didn't pay our hardearned money for a damaged product or to travel miles and miles just because we have been treated poorly. I have been trying to call customer support again and again  but they are just not answering for the past two days. We need a resolution. Not negligence.
