Dear Mayor Murillo.

I voted for you in 2016 and I was excited to see the first Latina city mayor in the country. Your ability to win was built on years of hard work by the civil rights movement of the last 60 years.

On Sunday, you didn't take a knee with protestors to share your support for the Black Lives Matter movement. How can you stand while the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the protestors from the 60's take a knee? Ms. Mayor we are still fighting the same battle, why aren't you fighting? You need to resign immediately as Mayor of Santa Barbara.
