Many people would like Glock's 6th generation pistols (17, 19, etc.) to feature versions with manual thumb safeties. 

Just as people request, ambidextrous magazine releases and slide stops, threaded barrels, and optics cuts, we would like manual thumb safety options on popular models.

(Btw: Glocks actually makes pistols with manual thumb safeties for other countries' police forces, just not available in the US.)
