Covid 19 is a real problem that we all need to take seriously. I understand the importance of social distancing and the value it brings to our fight against this pandemic. 

That being said, I do not think there was a lot of thought being placed into the decision to close down boat ramps across Ontario.  This is an opportunity for fisherman to safely provide for their families.  I am absolutely positive my boat is safer than visiting a grocery store and closing this option to provide lean protein for our families is something I would like to see reconsidered by the government.   I believe this stipulation was put in place for areas with much warmer climate where pleasure boating is more common and large gatherings of people join together for fun in the sun. April and May are some of the best times of year to fill your freezer with Walleye, Perch, Crappie, Gills and many more species available to us anglers and it would be a shame to take away this simple joy from us.
