The lease for the Golf Course was due at the end of the year; the council has extended it by two more years. The city council is considering developing this land to build condos. If you want to save the Golf Course, please sign the petition. 

The undersigned request that the City Council of Foster City retains Mariners Point Golf Center substantially in the format that existed on June 1, 2021: as a 9-hole golf course, driving range, and practice facility. We believe that MPGC is not an asset belonging solely to Foster City and its citizens; it has established itself as a prime provider of recreational opportunities for San Mateo County residents and others for over 25 years. 

Through its system of youth camps, it has introduced hundreds of young players to a game many will play for their lives. It also addresses the needs of "experienced" golfers via its reasonable pricing schedule and topography that encourages walking. Finally, it is also a practice home for many public and private high school golf teams.
