PEMRA should take an initiative to stop promotion of violence against women though media. They should come up with a clear policy about, under which circumstances violence against women can be shown on television, and how the issue should be dealt with; as unnecessary depiction of violence against women will merely promote violence, and bring acceptance for such acts in the society. Particularly, strict action should be taken against perpetrators, who promote rape culture, or anything remotely related to it, for instance, glorifying rapists, and blaming the victims in any way.
