In light of the recent Christ Church shooting and the astonishing support of heinous crimes by alt right subreddits, the people of Reddit call for the immediate removal of r/the_donald and all subreddits and users with such an extensive history of supporting violence and hate.

This shooting was performed in service of the alt-right values espoused on the internet in places like Reddit, and Reddit is responsible for destroying hate within its community promptly, before violence has occurred. Reddit has failed. If Reddit fails to give recompense and continues to shield hateful views within its community, all signers of this petition and all Reddit users are encouraged to delete their accounts and never again use Reddit or a Reddit-affiliated services.
