ATTENTION GOVERNOR MIKE DUNLEAVY,

We the undersigned, are writing to you on behalf of Jason C. Vukovich. He has currently served nearly eight years of a combined 23 year prison sentence for assaulting convicted child predators. We believe that he has put in work necessary towards bettering himself and is ready to re enter society and begin giving back to the community. While incarcerated, Jason has completed over 30 classes, has been consistent in speaking out against violence of any kind and has taken each and every opportunity that he has encountered to prevent others from living with addiction and criminal  behaviors. Recently he was granted discretionary parole with the condition that he serve five additional years. We feel this does not serve the greater good as it does not allow him to utilize the many proactive opportunities which are currently available to him. Jason currently has stable housing, written employment offers, speaking and mentoring engagement opportunities, is able to be certified as a substance abuse counselor, has PTSD therapy now available to him and has a large circle of new friends and family to whom he is accountable once released. Of course we do not advocate or encourage violence of any kind, under any circumstances. However, Jason has been able to listen and learn and transformed his life into one that can greatly benefit others. He now has the unique opportunity to use his experience and his voice to prevent others from following in his footsteps. We respectfully request that you please immediately commute the remainder of his sentence to parole, which will allow him to begin the next phase of his life which is continue healing for himself and for others.
