At the Brandon Town Council Meeting on 11th November Cllr David Palmer spoke of the possible introduction of charges to Brandon's two car parks. George Street and Bury Road along with the High Street.

Trading in the High Street is already difficult, and charging for parking will encourage people to travel out of town. Leading to further closures of independent businesses.

The parking charges will lead to cars parking on side streets causing further congestion in the town.  

We urge West Suffolk Council to reconsider introducing any charges.
