Take A Stand Now Missouri is a grassroots organization founded in light of the unethical mandates occurring in educational institutions and healthcare organizations. We have a significant number of members including students, parents, healthcare workers, and community members that are taking a stand against these mandates. This is not about being anti-vax, it's about being anti-mandate.

    As an educational institution, you are responsible for providing fair and equal education to your student body without discrimination. Students currently enrolled, prior to the mandates, did not agree to taking an experimental medical intervention prior to enrollment. Therefore, the educational institutions are obligated to allow these students to finish their education without discrimination of vaccination status.

    Use of coercion, fear tactics, bribery, or any means perceived as an attempt to leverage an individual’s education against them to promote getting the COVID-19 vaccine is unacceptable. 

    If any collaboration between an organization, mandating the Covid 19 vaccine, and educational institution exists that relationship should not interfere with any student’s right to an education. For healthcare specific programs, alternative “solutions” should be made available to these students such as: strict PPE (personal protective equipment) utilization, establishing a relationship with alternative clinical sites or offering students the approval to seek out other clinical sites to meet education requirements, and/or virtual learning opportunities.

     We call on all educational institutions to take a stand for their student body. We call on you to provide students with the best educational opportunities available that do not discriminate against an individual’s personal medical decision regarding the Covid-19 vaccines. There are a substantial number of reputable individuals within the scientific community speaking out about the short-term effects and potential long-term effects of these vaccines. 

    It is discriminatory and unethical for an educational institution to take away a students ability to continue their education on the basis of vaccination status, without regard to the students' significant investments of time and financial resources. A student’s education should not be based on complying with a mandate. 

   Vaccines are a personal choice, and it should be up to the student if they are going to participate in an experimental medical intervention that has yet to have a national database established for appropriate tracking or any studies regarding long-term implications. This is not about being anti-vaccine, we are concerned about taking the personal freedom of choice away by imposing a mandate, and leveraging their future is wrong. Requiring a student to take the Covid vaccine in order to continue their education infringes on a student's most basic of liberties, the personal freedom to choose.
