Let PA Cosmetology Salons open May 8th
Let PA Cosmetology Salons open May 8th
Why this petition matters
I wanted to start this petition to let Pennsylvania Cosmetology Salons open May 8th.
As a licensed cosmetologist and cosmetology salon business owner, I want the government to understand that those of us who are employees of and own cosmetology salons have ALWAYS taken board regulations in regards to sterilization and sanitation very seriously. There was never any doubt as to the cleaning steps we HAVE ALWAYS taken to kill viruses, bacteria and fungus AT ALL TIMES.
I urge supporters of this petition to sign this so we can open with even more precautions taken. For example, gloves and masks at all times. Use of EPA approved cleaners for surfaces, tools and implements used for before and after EVERY service where disposable implements and tools cannot be used, that are approved for the killing of human Coronavirus. Limited appointments allowed at once with as much distance as possible with masks for clients and hand sanitizer available at all times during the service. Plexi or acrylic guards on each nail table, pedicure station and front desk to further prevent communicable spread. I know I am having my floors and entire salon sanitized and cleaned before I am allowed to open.
Employees will not work ill or if they exhibit symptoms and we will not provide services to clients who ill or exhibiting symptoms of illness and their appointments will be rescheduled.
With these precautions taken, this industry can definitely open safely and let its employees and business owners recover from this time being closed and out of work.
Thank you so much for reading this and know we take this pandemic seriously but need to resume business in order to thrive and make up for the economic loss.
