The Turkish state's military onslaught into northern Syria, to target Kurdish populations and strongholds, is a continuation of its enduring intolerance, persecution and suppression of the Kurdish people, ethnicity & nationhood. The military action is brutal & genocidal. It epitomises military & paramilitary repression and genocide carried out by intolerant states across the world on ethnic peoples and suppressed nations, like Sri Lanka on Tamils, India on Kashmir, Panjaab, Manipur and Nagaland, China on the Uyghurs, Burma on the Karen, Indonesia on West Papua, Zimbawe on the Matabele. These rogue states and more have denied these many, diverse ethnic-nations their territorial, cultural, linguistic, political rights & self-determination, and sought to brutally & aggressively suppress and subdue them. This is modern day imperialism. We urge the UN Secretary-General, governments of Canada, United Kingdom, USA and others, the European Union, European Parliament and other international bodies, to intervene and stop the current military genocide of the Kurdish people and civilians in northern Syria; and, apply human rights and self-determination to all!
