In 1946 the North Jetty fish camp was built from a retired trolley from Ybor City today you can buy bait, have lunch with family and friends catch up while also having a historical atmosphere a enjoyable little blast from the past. The North Jetty fish camp is very near and dear to many locals as well as annual visitors. It is a Venice landmark it is extremely important to members of our community as well as our frequent visitors. It is apart of our community, history and hearts. The state of Florida and Sarasota county has plans to demolish the north Jetty fish camp and with it our communities history, memories, future memories and a little piece of our hearts.
