Bùth Bharraigh is the local community shop in Castlebay, Isle of Barra.  We have developed our business in our premises for 6 years. However, we have been continually under threat as the local authority, CnES, would like to demolish the building. 

Our location is perfect for the community shop especially now as we are the visitor information provider for the island.  We help 1000's of visitors, support local tourism businesses and are open when the ferry comes in during the summer.

This shop brings in over £50,000 per year for producers, employs people, provides opportunities and services and goods for visitors and local residents.

We have renovation plans with costings.

We want to stay, own the building so we can continue to develop our community hub in the heart of our community.
