Open carry in businesses or government offices deters most customers and people requiring government services.  We want these institutions to put up visible signs indicating that weapons are not permitted in the establishment.  We also want to inform these institutions that private individuals are not responsible for telling people with open carry weapons that they are not allowed to have weapons in the establishment.  Anyone seeing someone open carry in a prohibited establishment should report it to the police and let them handle the situation.

Please help stop this intimidating behavior on the part of a few individuals by signing this petition.  We are asking that people who care about this issue print out these petitions on a local or state level and bring them to businesses or government offices in your area.  Ask the proprietors or managers to please put up a sign stating that 'no weapons are allowed on these premises' and ask them to make sure their customers and managers know to call the police if they see someone violating the prohibition.
