Why this petition matters

Started by Sk Lokelani

We want to create a curriculum to implement to 5th and 6th graders about gender equality in the classroom and other daily activities. This is because we want to make sure that our future generations of students are able to become educated on the topic of respecting all genders. Our project is sustainable and sufficient.

We want to take action in this particular subject because we have grown up too numb and desensitized to stereotyping and discrimination against our particular gender as we grew older. Things like teachers asking for "strong boys" to help us move the chairs. Or being called "bossy" because we stood up for ourselves, when boys would be called leaders. Underestimating what people other than males can do.

For our petition, we envision the next generation of students to be educated on the topic of gender inequality and equality. Students will receive our curriculum and learn about the different genders, examples of gender discrimination and stereotyping, and so much more. We will raise our children to become strong leaders who are exposed and educated at an early age, rather than being kept secret and hidden. You can help us support our cause by supporting our petition. One signature at a time.
