Over 6,000 persons have been killed in Nigeria since 2011; in over 110 coordinated attacks, more than 1,107 people were killed in the first four months of 2018 alone. Tens of thousands have been displaced and this has put a large number of the Nigerian people under untold hardship as lives and properties worth millions of naira are lost daily.

It should be a thing of concern for all Nigerians that the frontiers of violence and bloodletting have been opened and sustained for far too long in the Northeast and the Middle Belt regions of the country.

Today, as the violence has continued to multiply, we as concerned citizens of Nigeria and all peoples of goodwill can no longer afford the luxury of indifference. The situation calls for urgent and coordinated actions to reverse this degeneration and push back the violence that now threatens the survival of the Nigerian nation. This is why we are calling out with a loud voice so the authorities can hear and act swiftly to STOP THE KILLINGS AND BLOODSHED.

We need 100,000 people to sign this petition demanding that President Muhammadu Buhari puts an end to the killings and bloodshed immediately.
