St. George Illawarra Dragons, although considered a relatively new team in the NRL, have one of the richest histories in the sport of Rugby League from the respective teams which have since merged - St. George Dragons and Illawarra Steelers.

The Dragons, as they are also known, not only have one of the largest fan bases, but some of the most passionate. The consistent number of annual members proves this.

However, a high percentage of these are disgruntled due to the lack of depth shown by the current coach, Paul McGregor.

The lack of vision and leadership shown by McGregor is evident through the team's performances as well as his communication with the media, and (lack of) communication with the people that matter most - the Dragons members and fans.

McGregor is unfortunately blinded by his own poor decisions and strategies, and very rarely takes responsibility or ownership for the team's losses - this is evident through the number of excuses he makes in the press conferences.

McGregor is am sure a very passionate Dragons member, but he needs to accept the fact that, as a head coach, he is out of his depth. This is where we can help make him come to this realisation.
