Hemp derived  CBD oil was made federally legal by the 2018 farm bill. Just recently, hemp derived CBD was made legal in the State of Texas. Hemp derived Full spectrum CBD oil is a whole plant extract who’s THC content is too low to produce a “high”. The substance gives one a very relaxed feeling free of anxiety but does not effect cognition. Many Veterans, such as myself, who suffer from PTSD go thru daily life forever effected by our past experiences. Unable to shake off the Omni present reality that civilized behavior is just a thin veneer in our society. Violence can and does break out anywhere and anytime. Like a coiled spring, our minds involuntarily look everywhere for the next threat to be wary of. It is exhausting, and a part of our everyday lives.     Shortly after CBD oil was completely legalized, My wife purchased a bottle of Full spectrum CBD oil for me to try out. The relief produced by this substance was mind boggling. It drove away my anxiety, and gave me a profound sense of relaxed well-being. It was a welcome respite from the hell my mind puts me thru on a daily basis. After using full spectrum CBD oil for just three days and wondering in it’s therapeutic value, I was horrified to find that a drug test I performed on myself was positive, even though I did nothing more than use a completely legal substance as directed. I immediately stopped using Full Spectrum CBD oil, and switched to a CBD isolate, which does not contain the other beneficial terpenes and cannabinoids and does not work a fraction as well as full spectrum CBD oil. CBD isolate provides little to no relief in comparison to Full Spectrum CBD oil. We need protections in place so we can benefit from this wonderful product that is completely legal at the federal and state level, without the fear of losing our livelihoods.
