Tony Blair was clearly in breach of the rules of Labour membership two years ago, having publicly asked voters to consider voting for Conservative or LibDem candidates in the 2017 General Election.

He is now undermining the party in the runup to the General Election on December 12th - after advocating earlier this year that Labour should not support a GE at all, he is now publicly urging voters not to vote Labour.

Members can be expelled from the Party for a number of reasons including 'Supporting or endorsing a candidate or party standing against the Labour Party or one of its candidates'

In saying MPs should not support a GE, he was plainly saying that he would prefer to leave the Conservative Party in power rather than take the chance for Labour to campaign and win a majority.

He is now actively trying to damage our chances of winning a majority in this election. His behaviour is an insult to the tens of thousands of Labour members who are out on the streets in freezing weather, campaigning for a Labour government.

Mr Blair's comments recently, and historically as detailed in the link below plainly fit this description and are unacceptable, especially from such a high profile figure.

His public comments over the last few years, and his actions in supporting organisations whose aims clearly conflict with current Labour policy, have served to undermine and damage Labour to the extent that they must constitute bringing the party into disrepute.

Mr Mandelson has stated publicly that he 'works every day to undermine Jeremy Corbyn' and hosted, at his home, a meeting of Labour PLP members who had implied they might break away to form a new party - an event held specifically to discuss ways of bringing down their twice democratically elected leader. This is clearly acting against the interests of the Labour Party, and the fact that Mr Mandelson contrived to make the event publicly known can only serve to create instability during a period when a General Election is looking increasingly likely.

As General Secretary we believe that you have a clear duty to take disciplinary action against both Mr Blair and Mr Mandelson and suspend them from the Party with immediate effect pending an enquiry.
