Hazeley Woods is being party demolished, access has been stopped by the Builders/MK Council from Morland Drv and Wickstead Drv on Grange Farm. This work has been started with NO notification to local residents and no signage to prepare them for it.

No plans have ever been made known to anyone who has brought a property in the area in Solicitors searches. Many people, residents and locals use these access points and have done for over 20 years to access Greenland and the Bucks Walk Way, for exercise, dog walking, rambling and general peace and quiet,  you will no longer be able to do this from these points.  The Grid Road Extension will join the Hazeley Roundabout to Whitehouse Park, it will be a 40-50MPH Travel Corridor squeezed in-between Morland Drive and The Hazeley Academy which has 1500 students accessing the school twice a day.  The developers 'propose' to build in a Pelican Crossing to access the School but this will not be fixed straight away, it could be years later and these crossings are not a fast way for children to get to school on time.

This is devastating for our area, especially during lockdown when many local people have used this area.  This is also devastating for us as homeowners to have this 20 metres away from our properties front and rear, the noise, pollution and general volume of traffic should not be allowed this close to a School and a Residential Area.  The New Grid Road will run along the back of Garwood Drive onto to Residents back gardens, the noise will be awful and the road will ruin the outlook that they have from back gardens.

All of these plans have been put in motion without giving advance warning to anyone, a clerical error (with the Newt collecting) they say, this is not acceptable.  Residents should not have to go looking every week for any new notices or planning that MK Council sign of on, we should be notified of work that is in the planning for something that will be metres away from our properties.

This area is extremely busy and dangerous already at school drop off and pick up times, accidents are waiting to happen with drop off's on the roundabouts, parking on the grass verges with no due care to the surroundings, the sheer volume of traffic is very dangerous.  We do not need to add a travel corridor to this area without considering all of the above.

They are currently redirecting Newts which will take 9 months then the building of the Road will commence.

Grange Farm Residents do not need access to any of the new facilities that Whitehouse will have to offer and if they do they would use the numerous other access points to this new estate.

Hazeley Woods and this area have numerous different wildlife living in this area, including Bats, whose habitats are protected. They are in the process of destroying more of this daily.  They have just started to put signage up on the Bucks Walk Way which is two weeks too late, they know this so are now trying to put it right, but they only know this because Residents complained this week, too little too late.

Please sign and help us at least have some control over this Road and how it is utilised if we cannot stop it from being built.  

We do not wish to lose this green space that is so popular with so many people.  Please support us in trying to stop the development and claim it back ourselves.
