It is a simple and what may seem a small issue, but yet makes a BIG difference to NHS staff so please sign and share this petition. 

As pressure on the NHS is beginning to escalate, that pressure is felt no more acutely than on NHS staff. Many staff work well in excess of 12-14 hour shifts. On top of this, many have to find car parking, which can be up to a 30 minute walk away from the hospital or have to pay up to, and sometimes in excess of, £10 a day to park on hospital grounds.

We feel that during this Coronavirus Pandemic every effort should be made to support all NHS staff, to allow them to do their jobs without additional, unnecessary stress. NHS staff should to be able to park on hospital grounds for free!

A point of note: as the country is now in lockdown, this means many public hospital car parks are effectively empty. A portion of these could be immediately made available to allow staff to park for free until such time that a permanent staff car parking alternative can be put in place.
