Why this petition matters
As AWS Customers, we feel that we are unable to provide qualitative feedback to AWS Support Engineers.
A basic 1-5 rating system does not help us. Many of us don't even bother providing feedback, those of us that do mindlessly choose "Excellent" for all the options unless we have a complaint at which point we use the remaining options as a measurement of annoyance/grievance. Sometimes we get emails asking us to provide feedback as to why we graded the support engineer below "Excellent".
This does not provide any real value for us, nor does it provide us a way to identify when a support engineer goes above and beyond.
How we want to grade AWS Support Engineers:
- Did not meet expectations: This is the only time we want to get an email from a manager. Unless we say otherwise in the notes.
- Met expectations: Cool, they did their job...everybody goes on with their day.
- Exceeded expectations: This person deserved some recognition!
Exceeding should be the exception, not the expectation.
There should be some type of qualifier, that you communicate back to us. LIke "<5% of requests Exceed Expectations" or something that helps clue in new customers that this is rare and should only be used for such an occasion.
