Why this petition matters

Started by Maryland Retailers Association

Maryland prohibits chain stores, including your local grocery and convenience stores, from obtaining licenses to sell beer and wine because of antiquated laws that were passed 40 years ago. Polls show that over 70% of Marylanders support updating these laws, which would create new jobs and bring more revenue to the state. Allowing a free market for beer and wine will bring better pricing and convenience to Maryland, and promotes safety so that individuals with health concerns can eliminate an additional stop as they run errands.

Sign on today and join us in showing the State legislature that it’s time for convenience, safety, and better pricing!

You can also get involved by signing up at www.mdalcoholchoice.com and liking us on social media at MD Alcohol Choice on Facebook and @MDAlcoholChoice on Twitter.

Maryland Alcohol Choice is a campaign of likeminded consumers and businesses that advocate for modern thinking on shopping and the right to buy wine and beer where you want. Maryland Alcohol Choice is paid for by the Maryland Retailers Association.
