Veturi Sundararama Murthy Garu

No Telugu speaking person who has inclination towards literature, needs an introduction to Shri Veturi Sundararama Murthy Garu. A National Award Winning lyricists who entertained Telugu Filmy audience for more than 4 decades, did wonders with the Telugu words. His lyrics were multi dimensional, were inspirational, made people think, have fun, at the same time he provided unlimited entertainment to the audience. His power play of words to create magic is unbeatable. A great lyricist who inspired many generations, indeed a highly respected person in Telugu Film Industry for his lyric writing capability at a Super jet speed. He also questioned that times social trends and inspired people to think high for the society. 

Unfortunately he is not anymore with us, but that doesn't stop us to pay tribute. Giving Padmashri is very small such token. He deserves much more but lets start with a small step. By no means we can match his contributions to Telugu Film Music. I wish all Telugu people across the globe who got inspired by his songs, who tasted the nectar in his songs, come together, join hands for this cause. Hope both Governments listen and honor him.
