John Williams is arguably not only one of the greatest living composers in the world, he is one of the greatest composers of all time. He is a five time Academy Award winner, including being the second most nominated person in the awards history, recipient of numerous Golden Globes and Grammys, as well as a plethora of recognitions and honors from around the world.

The composer of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, and E.T. (just to name a small few), has also composed music for some of the worlds leading musicians such as Anne Sophie-Mutter, Lang Lang, Itzak Perlman, Gil Shaham, and numerous pieces for Yo-Yo Ma.

Outside of the classical realm, he is a skilled performer of Jazz, having performed with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Buddy Rich, and has numerous recordings to his name.

A consummate composer, performer and conductor, John Williams has nearly done it all, including having composed a musical, "Thomas and the King". The only thing he has not yet done, is compose an opera.

I am writing this petition to send a friendly request to Maestro Williams, to complete his epic catalogue and compose and opera. Please show your support and sign the petition, in hopes that the idea might be of interest to one of history's greatest composers, and fulfilling his spot as the most accomplished musician of all time.
