Nicholas A. Scherr #0000018139 has recently been granted parole after only serving 23 years of a 100 year sentence for confessing of the rape and brutualy killing Candace Rough Surface in 1980. Scherr not only took Candy's life but also stole the innocents of her only son, my fiancee  Homer Eagle. Which has and still affects him everyday of his life. Homer has four children. Mercedes and Aidan with Colleen Meier. We have two small children Memphis and A'Lora Luna. Because of Scherr's actions he has affected four generations of families and should never be allowed parole for his horrendous crime. 

Constitutional Amendment S protects victims of convicted criminals and has not been abided by. Marsys Law is not in effect and has been violated. Homer and Candy's immediate siblings were not notified in a timely manner to deny the request for parole. This is unacceptable! We all need to stand together in this injustice and be the voice for Candy and stand up for her rights. Everyone should be appalled with this injustice as she could have been your relative, friend or aquaintance. What happened to Candy is horrific and should have never happened and he needs to be held accountable for his actions .
