A public Apology from the makers of The Simpsons for their unfair Portrayal and Treatment
Why this petition matters
I would like to see a full public apology made to Steven Patrick Morrissey formerly of the Smiths for their unfair Portrayal of him in their most recent episode (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch) causing much publicized distress and heartache.
The programme itself has a huge platform and responsibililty to it's younger viewers especially to teach the all about respect, showing little or no regard for Mr Morrissey's feelings or the knock on effect it may have on his state of mind, heart or career.
Given that so much these days is focused on mental health and the negative impact trolling on social media etc can have I think it was highly unfair to essentially tear him apart in such a way.
Mr Morrisey is not only a British institution and much loved all over the world a certainly didn't deserve to be treated the way he was.
He has brought so much joy and w voice to so many through his music, and yet he is allowed to be victimised in such a manner all in the name of "Entertainment" and ridiculed when all he has done is brought joy to so many and sometimes I'm sure saved a few souls along the way. My own included.
I am hoping through this and your help reaching the right channels we can hopefully heal the hurt that he so clearly feeling right now. It's all about respect, the human heart and mind are so fragile. Let's give our beloved Moz a voice, he has done so much for us all and asked nothing in return.
Afterall,
"It's so easy to laugh, It's so Easy to hate. It takes guts to be gentle and kind"
