Star Trek: Picard has been off to a great start, however there is one thing troubling. Almost any action that Picard takes seems to be questioned or ridiculed. A short, memorable scene from Star Trek: The Next Generation, like a bridge scene would be great for a flashback, similar to what was done for "If Memory Serves" from Star Trek: Discovery. This will remind our younger viewers and those new to Star Trek of who exactly Picard is.

A very short scene (For example, the confrontation between Captain Picard and Tomalak from "The Defector") would be good with more of a focus on Captain Picard, Patrick Stewart's character. Also, it should be a scene with as few recognizable characters as possible to reduce the chances of royalty fees or other conflicts.

Why this episode? Firstly, it features the Romulans, which play a significant role in Picard, and also the episode just passed 30 years from its original airdate on January 1, 1990. Doing this will bridge the gap, no pun intended, between the two great TV shows and make them even more memorable!
