J. Edgar Hoover was a known criminal. According to Seth Rosenfeld's book, "Subversives," Hoover ordered his so-called G-men to spy on ordinary citizens, block the civil rights movement, break into thousands of Americans' offices and homes illegally, cause people to lose their jobs, spread viciously untrue rumors and commit many other atrocities against our democracy.

To have this villain's name on a building that is supposed to represent the Rule of Law itself is a slap in the face of both democracy and justice.

Surely we can find at least one decent and honest American who we can name this building after.  Almost anyone would be better than J. Edgar Hoover. Perhaps not Jeffery Epstein or Al Capone -- but even having no name on the building at all would be a vast improvement over 'Black Bag Job" Hoover.  Thank you.
