The aim of this petition is to make the Brisbane River a net free zone. We have seen the great effects it has had in the Fitzroy river with Baramundi an Threadfin salmon populations now thriving an growing rates of tourism in the rockhampton region. I believe making the Brisbane river a net free zone would have the same positive effects not only on growing fish populations but also boosting tourism in the brisbane area. I have great fears that Threadfin salmon an other species will eventually be wiped out in the river by netting. I think anyone that has observed the dwindling numbers of fish in the river would understand the conserns. If we dont do somthing now its going to be to late. Future generations are only going to hear storys of what use to be.. Lets come together an make a change for the future an for the better. #FISHFORTHEFUTURE #TRAWLERFREE
