My neighbors and I live in the seminary area and we have been receiving tickets for parking outside of our homes because street sweeping is every day which is ‪1 AM to 3 AM‬. When we get off of work there is already no parking so we have nowhere to park. The building I live in have limited parking so we cannot pay for parking in our building. I feel the time for “street sweeping” should be changed to a more reasonable time like when we‘re at work. It’s very upsetting that we all have to worry about not being able to go into the homes that we pay rent for because of parking. I have hip arthritis which makes it difficult for me to walk. I am very upset about this I believe more people have moved in the area which means it is less parking available for the people who actually live in that area. I feel like the time should definitely be changed. We should not have to live this way and it is also dangerous to park so far from our homes with the robbers and the murderers outside we do not feel safe. I am asking that Oakland change the parking time or change street sweeping to once a week.
