Walk the riverside & discover nature safely: Wembley to the Welsh Harp SSSI
Why this petition matters
River corridors are full of wonderful wildlife - if only we could see it... This petition calls for your support for riverside path improvements along a proposed new walking route between iconic Wembley Park and the Welsh Harp SSSI Nature Reserve.
Too often hidden behind dense shrubs and trees, our natural riverside heritage has become lost and disconnected from neighbours and passers by. Thick undergrowth can increase the potential for fly-tipping. Walking by rivers is good for our physical and mental health, allowing the stresses of the day to melt away.
Please sign this petition to show your support for a proposal by the River Brent Catchment Partnership for local improvements: to clear the undergrowth, create new paths and natural play opportunities, with safer sight-lines, information, signage and views of the beautiful river Brent.
Working with local communities and other partners involved in river improvements, if successful, this proposal will help restore and extend existing routes, reconnecting local communities with each other and their riverside between Wembley Park and the Welsh Harp for years to come.
Thank you!
Please come and join us by the riverside.
