Alternate Side Parking rules in New York City must be suspended in wake of the coronavirus. People under quarantine are going to be tempted to leave their apartment buildings in order to move their cars in order to avoid getting tickets. This will potentially spread infection on communal surfaces within apartment buildings, such as the elevator and doorways. Alternate Side Parking rules will defeat the purpose of individual quarantines and have the potential to cause unnecessary suffering and deaths.
