With the announcement of the Government’s financial assistance for the self-employed not including those in their first year, I would like to petition that this is unjust and leaves thousands with little choice to either struggle to pay bills, mortgages etc and face complete ruin or have to try and work, defying Government advice and placing themselves, relatives and others in severe danger.

Self Assessments for 2019/20 can be completed in April so why can’t these be used to work out average earnings and provide support.

The Chancellor stated quite comprehensively that “Nobody will be forgotten.” So what has changed for those of us that just happened to go Self Employed since April 2019? We have been abandoned!
