Get Jim Gosger his World Series Ring
Get Jim Gosger his World Series Ring
Why this petition matters
Jim Gosger played in the major leagues for several teams including the Seattle Pilots. However, his greatest baseball thrill was being a member of the 1969 Miracle Mets. Jim was what they like to call a "journeyman" who played for eleven years wherever he was needed and was known for his hustle, grit and for being a great teammate. However, when it came time to award World Series rings, Jim got left in the cold. Through the decades, Jim hasn't received his due from his beloved Mets. He hasn't been invited to team reunions or included in functions. Worst of all, when the Mets celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 1969 World Series win, not only wasn't he invited to celebrate with his teammates, a big announcement on the Jumbotron announced that he was deceased. Well Jim is alive and well and his greatest desire is for the Mets to finally give him his 1969 World Series ring. Show the Mets that you still remember Jim and that you care.
