If a Nigeria Police officer earns wages that will be almost at par with that of a politician, they will not be carrying bags, they will not be hired as thugs, they will not be carrying out dirty works for politicians; and they will definitely not allow themselves to be used as debt collectors by the generality of Nigerians.
Basic Salary for a Police Officers/Soldiers at entry level N190,000 a month. Graduates ONLY (2.2 and above). With subsidised Accommodation cost (No more residential police barracks) and free University education for first 3 children of Armed Forces members.
Educational Requirement for any elective office: first degree.
Here is the Proposed New Salary structure for Elected Officials in the Nigerian Government.
President: N24m a year with free accommodation, food, security and transport.
Vice President: N22 million a year with the similar extras.
Senate President: 12 million a year. Free accommodation with similar extras.
Senator: N9.6 million yearly. No extras. Free lunch of either eba or jollof with water during plenary sessions only.
Speaker, House of Representatives: N6 million a year. With similar extras.
House of Representative Members: N6 million a year. No extras. Free lunch of either eba or jollof with water during plenary sessions only.
Governors: N12 million a year with free accommodation, food security, transportation.
Deputy Governor: N6 million a year, with free accommodation food security transport.
House of Assembly Speaker: N4.5 million a year. Free food, accommodation and transport.
Assembly members: N3.8million.
Free lunch of either eba or jollof with water during plenary sessions only.
Local Government Chairman: N4.5 a year, free accommodation, food, security and transport.
LGA councilors: N2.250m a year. Free lunch of either eba or jollof with bottled water during plenary sessions only.
If you don't like it face your business.
If you think you can earn more in your private business, then face that your business.
If you think you need extra security protection, then hire private security and pay out of pocket.
Police to STOP providing any form of private security to HNW- individuals. Again, If you think you need extra security protection, then hire private security and pay out of pocket.

And we are assuring the NASS that if this petition is not taken seriously and act upon as stated here,  after being received, we are promising the same number of people who will sign this petition will have no choice but to begin peaceful protest throughout the nation, especially in National Assembly and Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission office until these figures above are used as the standard of payment for all elected office holders in Nigeria.

Penalty for Corruption: Death.
