University can be a stressful experience at the best of times, add a month of teaching strikes and a global pandemic to the task of graduating and academic pressure can feel unmanageable. Graduates of 2021 and even 2022/23 have been completely abandoned and will feel the ramifications of decreased academic support and performance potentially for the rest of their careers. 

At Cardiff University, students are expected to submit assessments and dissertations with no extensions or suitable adjustments and to the same academic standards as unaffected years. All of this without receiving the best possible learning experience from our higher education, and not a single full week of teaching since September.

I propose that Cardiff University should extend final year deadlines, and introduce a stronger safety net- creating certainty that students will not be left short of achieving their full academic potential. Leniency is a small ask for students paying  £27,750 for their qualification. 

Please sign this petition to call for Cardiff University to take action and make suitable adjustments for all students who have been unfairly disadvantaged while studying for a degree. We deserve to have this injustice corrected.
