Fairlop Sailing School is scheduled for closure.

The excuse is Covid 19.

Over the past 40 years, some 10,000 young schoolchildren EACH YEAR have learnt to sail at Fairlop Waters in the Sailing School. It has given much joy and opportunity to  children of all levels, ages and ethnicities, both able and disabled. It caters for Sea Scouts, Youth Club Groups and Home Schools, and many disabled and disadvantaged groups

To shut the only facility in the borough that caters for such activities would be a tragedy, and it MUST NOT HAPPEN.

To use Covid 19 as an excuse to sneakily close the facility is a DISGRACE. It is precisely this type of facility that so many children will yearn for when they are released from home confinement.

DO NOT LET REDBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL CARRY OUT THIS HEINOUS ACT.
