Last week, my husband of over five years, Russell Young, was told he had just 14 days to leave the U.K. 

We have been living together and running the Sun Inn pub, a vital part of our community in Failsworth. Russell sunk all his money into saving the Sun Inn from developers, but because we couldn’t open due to Covid, we now can’t pass the financial earnings requirement for him to obtain his five year visa. So, because the Home Office don’t think my husband earns enough they want to break our family and remove him from the UK. 

Despite the difficulty of running a pub in the pandemic, we finished our first year in business with a profit. Throughout this year so many people have been separated from their loved ones - and now, through no fault of our own, our life together is at risk. 

We are in an impossible situation. How can we just walk away from what Russell invested and close the door on the Sun Inn? Where would we live and work? I've no answers - all I know is we need help so please can everyone sign this petition.
