Volunteers from Animal Protection Charities feed and take care of feral cats.
Stray cats are neutered (Trap-Neuter-Return) in order to remain healthy and at the same time controlling the feline overpopulation.
Such activities have been carried out by responsible persons whose permits were issued and authorized, thus achieving a notable descent of unwanted litters.

Since 13 months ago the Councilor stopped neutering feral cats creating a huge problem of overpopulation.

Cat colonies are not a source of disease; in contrast, urban cats fulfil a social function.

We call on all supporters of animal rights and justice; we urge you to sign this petition, demanding and contact the Town Council of Pilar de la Horadada to reverse their decision, and reinstate the feeding permits for all cats and, neuter the cats trapped by volunteers, so that they do not starve to death.
