The countries of Azerbaijan and Turkey have begun assaults on civilian complexes in Armenia and Nagorno-Kharabakh. Countless civilian and soldier losses have been reported by the Armenian government. These are not mere "clashes over disputed territory" as most media outlets say. Rather, this is a deliberate and planned assault on Armenians' right to live in their homeland. This is what makes this a humanitarian issue: an ethnic group's right to survive, and their right to fight against annihilation and genocide. 

Google's Doodles have the great power of raising awareness of issues and people otherwise forgotten by history. They are seen by billions of people around the globe who are offered a chance to interact and learn more by clicking on the Doodle itself. We would like to urge Google to present a Google Doodle which brings awareness to the struggle of Armenians to survive in this war, and the threats to peace the regimes of Turkey's Erdogan and Azerbaijan's Aliyev present.
